The 1A Amberol

This is the Edison model "1A" which plays two and four minute amberols. The Lyre on the front suggests that this is an early model, but so many cabinets were eventually used that that is not a certain indication. The stamp on the bedplate, however leaves little doubt that this machine is probably one of the first 67 shipped Februray 5th, 1910. This model probably shipped with the "L" reproducer (four minute) but shortly after that shipment the combination "M" reproducer was standard.
