The Edison Standard A
In February of 1898 the Standard hit the stands. It played 2 minute cylinders with a standard speaker reproducer and a single spring motor. The standard can be recognized easily by the flat top and corners (known as the square top standard). Also of note are the suitcase clips for the top. In 1908 about $20 would get you this model which actually came without decals in the earliest incarnation.
