The Edison Standard with Polyphone
This is a basic Standard with a Polyphone attachment. This attachment was made from 1898-1902 by the Talking Machine company of Chicago. It holds two separate Edison "Automatic" reproducers with two horns. Each stylus runs in the same groove but about 1/2 inch apart which provides an echo effect which is best called the first stab at stereo!
